Each piece has a story

The Story of Yulmya Vaimere

In that same valley of two moons, where the weaver named Vaimere lived, a young artist appeared one morning. She came at dawn when the mist still swirled between the trees, and the first rays of the sun barely touched the treetops.

...I was seeking inspiration for my paintings. People said that in this valley, there was a special light – unlike anywhere else. And then I saw her – a woman sitting at a loom in the open air on a meadow shrouded in morning mist.

The weaver was working on a white garment. Her fingers skilfully intertwined threads that seemed made from the dawn itself – milky-white with golden reflections.

"Have you come to paint the light?" asked Vaimere without raising her eyes from her work.

"Yes," I answered. "But I don't know if I'll manage to capture it on canvas."

The weaver smiled. "Sometimes it's better to wear light than to try to catch it."

She invited me to her workshop, and I was amazed by the diversity of her works. Black, white, and multicoloured fabrics with golden accents filled the space. Each piece seemed unique, but in all of them, one could feel the same quality – that same comfort you experience when you find your place in the world.

"These white ones with golden inclusions are special," said the weaver, extending the freshly completed garment to me. "They are for those who see beauty in simple things. For those who value a blank canvas as much as a finished painting."

Legend has it that the weaver created her garments not only from threads but also from stories she heard from travellers, songs of the wind and whispers of the river, reflections of the sun on the water, and secrets of moonlight.

When I put on her gift – the white garment with golden accents – I felt an incredible lightness, as if all my creative blocks and doubts had dissolved. The brush in my hand began to move with new freedom. I wasn't painting light – I was painting feeling.

"Comfort is not a luxury," said Vaimere, watching my work. "It's a necessity. It's the foundation upon which everything else is built. In comfort, creativity is born, confidence grows, joy blossoms."

They say the weaver created different colours in her works, not without reason, so everyone could choose what resonates most deeply in their soul. But all of them had one purpose – to give a sense of harmony with oneself.

"White or black, light or dark – it doesn't matter," she often repeated. "What's important is what's inside. How you feel."
